I am in fourth grade and I like this book because it was fun to read and the pictures were really really cute and a little bit real too. I have read the other books in this series and every other book had a different main animal like Ice Cream Kitty (Tommy) and Chickadee Chick but this time those two were in the same book and there was even a new birdie in the story, Charlie Jr. And Chickadee Chick is a way better flier than in the first book and Ice Cream Kitty didn’t have ice cream this time. I thought it was soooo funny about the homework part and what the mom said because me and my mommy say things kinda like that. One of the pictures even shows Chickadee Chicks math homework on a branch when the storm blew him away.

The story is about Chickadee Chick and there is a storm and then he gets stuck under a branch, on a truck, along with Ice Cream Kitty and Charlie Jr, a hawk. This story is very exciting and I like how all three of them helped each other out even if they were soooo different from each other. If everyone was like that I think everyone would be happy, have more friends and be safer, too.

One of the other awesome things about this book are the fun activities at the end. Like the color by number, connect the dots and the maze. My little brother and I really like this book and all the fun activities. The story and the Chickadee Chick and Tommy pictures always make us smile and giggle and I think everyone will like these books lots and lots just like us. =) Oh yeah and remember to keep your pets inside when there is a storm.

Daughter loves this book!! We have the authora two first books (ice cream kitty and chickadee chick) and both stories intertwine in the october storm, which is very unique for a childrens series.
My nieces emjoyed his cute story so much! We read it twice together already. A good book for reading aloud. Fun!
Building on the stories told in previous books, a kitten and a chickadee face a challenge. When the creatures are injured together in a snow storm they must survive by working together. Illustrations are simplistic and not professionally done but do add to the storyline. Story could be fleshed out with more words and emotions however.
A very cute story, that I was happy to see pictures with since it was the edition. Chickadee Chick is not the best flyer around, and when a snowstorm hits he gets carried away and stuck in a pickup truck. There he meets some familiar faces (which are in other books by Benedetto which I thought was cute) and they're not sure if they'll be able to make it home. It's a great children's story about teamwork and working together, even when you're in hard situations with people you are scared of or don't like. Great read for children!
This adventure story is about a little bird, Chickadee Chick, who gets blown from his nest during a surprise snowstorm in October. While he is disorientated, he comes across two other characters also lost from the storm. Together, they try to problem solve their way back home.
As a teacher, this is a great read aloud story for practicing retelling. The language is perfect for lower elementary as well as containing relatable characters. Also, there are bonus activities at the end of the book for young readers to enjoy. As an avid reader and author, I enjoyed the characterization through the dialogue. It is a well written, delightful story. I’m looking forward to reading Narina Di Benedetto’s other works.
