"Search for the Lost Kingdom" is a thrilling read for children and adults. The pictures Wood paints with her words are vibrant and colorful. The story brings the reader into the world of Eldohr where anything is possible.

I greatly enjoyed "Eldohr Adventures - Search for the Lost Kingdom" and look forward to the next book in the series, "Quest for Windsoar."
I fell in love with this book in the first ten pages. One thing I will mention before I begin my review, is that this book is fantasy intended for children. It is not quite meant for the older end of the YA audience. This was originally part of a bedtime story the author told her daughter, and somehow that made it seem even more special that she chose to share it with all of us.

I have noticed a couple of reviews that mentioned the use of fantasy characters that are common to the genre, but I have to say, that is one of the things that made me love this. Eldohr is like the ultimate combination of childhood fairytale and fantasy all rolled into one book. Where many authors have tried to make the fantasy world new and exciting, this book accomplished the same thing in a more traditional manner.

As a mother, I loved this. I would share this book with any child quite comfortably. There is nothing in the writing that you would be afraid to read to a child of any age. The magic this author creates through her writing is the kind that even I, as an adult could not help but be enthralled with.

The story is interesting, the characters are individuals and the dialogue was always appropriate for the theme of the story and for the genre. If you have been looking for a special fantasy book to share with your kids or grand kids or just enjoy reading it yourself, this is a book that has my full support. I have already read book two as well, and I am really anticipating the rest of the series.

T.L. Wood is clearly very good at what she does.

Prince Elrick Darkmoore had been mistreated as a child by a man who wanted to be king. He plotted ways of getting rid of the king and queen and their silly brat, Elrick. He saw that the dragons had ambushed the royal party as they enter the forest to visit their neighboring kingdom then Albastizor, the biggest and meanest of the three turned the king, queen, and all the guards into trees using black magic zilestone! Staelen returned to the castle and wickedly grin. The kingdom was his at last!

Elrick had been told hen a child that the king and queen abandoned him and would never return as as he endured Staelen's punishment year after year until he towered over Staelen and retook his kingdom. He was known as Elrick the nasty as he delighted in his subjects cowering in fear. He hired thieves to rob villages and enjoyed taking what they brought, but he worried that they cheated him and decided to do it himself. He entered the forest and decided to take a nap, and when he awoke he was cursed by Argea to know poverty......................

Princess Zora Shadenbrooke was taken when Albastizor tricked her when hr used zilestone on her kingdom that immediately turned all into trees even though he promise to leave them alone once she surrendered to him. For three years he greedy took her gemtears as she cried, and then he gave her an ultimatum to produce rainbow gems, but how could she when it required all of emotion some she never knew?

What a delightful story for all ages and this is only book one! I can't wait to continue thr trilogy and perhaps beg for a gem from Zara!!
Nothing stands in the way of these three. They never let the bully win. This book shows young and old how to win no matter the obstacle.
My wife and I bought a copy of the book for our lovely 7 year old niece as a gift. I wanted to read it first to make sure it would be an age appropriate book before sending it to her. I didn't have anything to worry about! In fact, I enjoyed it so well; I bought myself a copy too! What an excellent and captivating story for all ages! I can't wait for the additional books in the series to come out! A highly recommended book for anyone who is into fantasy style genre. And my sister said that my niece absolutely loved it as a bedtime story too! O)
I remember seeing some of this in its earliest stages. I'm pleased to see how well it developed. I think you'll all enjoy it.
This book was a good, solid story for children ages 7 - 12. It's a great transition book between the "Treehouse" books and more challenging fantasy works like Eragon or Harry Potter. The writing is clean but Wood does put in a few words that will give the child some exercise. I've passed it along to a family with three young boys where I'm sure it will get some exercise as well.
