I loved this book when I was a kid, and its one I thought about for years. I'm so glad my mom still had it so I could share it with my own son! I'm also glad for the internet as I've been able to acquire the sequels which I always longed for as a child )
Meet the Woodland Folk, is an excellent beginning to a great series. Though not as good as it's sequels, Meet the Woodland Folk is still a great book, richly illustrated to get you into the story. It's a great story, and a great introduction to this spectacular series. Any kid will got lost in this book, and spend hours on each page, just looking at all the little details of each illustration. This book, and it's sequels are highly recommended to any fantasy fan, if you can still get your hands on a copy.
I love these books. They were a great part of my childhood. They sparked my imagination, and now my daughter loves them too.
I loved this book when I was young and it is the stuff of dreams. I found in our shed and was able to share with my own children. It is beautifully illustrated and has unique vignettes. Great choice for night time story.
